To blog or Not to blog..

question

THAT is the question!

I greatly enjoy being able to share our experiences and thoughts about the lifestyle. Being able to put down into words, the happenings of our lives in regards to swinging, is a great release.

I have always loved journaling and keeping a diary of sorts, and blogging is just another extension of that, but with feedback! :-)

But… it has recently come to our attention that we are not as anonymous as we think we are.

Being linked up with GentleNibbles through the blog is great, in the sense that we are able to get a little more exposure than we normally would just having a blog somewhere out there on the internet. The only bad thing about it, is that GentleNibbles is very exposed through CT and many people from there find their way from CT to their site and to ours in extension.

So, while it’s a great thing for exposure.. it’s also in the same sense.. a bad thing. Well, maybe “a bad thing” isn’t necessarily the right word, but I cannot think of a better word at this time.

You see, as I mentioned before.. we are not as anonymous as we think we are.

When we first started the blog, BB and Deviant realized who we were from the get go, and we had never even actually met at that point. That wasn’t really a bad thing, because it was actually nice knowing that we had one couple who knew who we were and we could share experiences with without actually “kissing and telling” so to speak. It was all of our little secret and it was/is nice. But.. we have come to realize that they are not the only ones who have read the blog and figured out who we are.

The whole point, is for us to be anonymous and to be able to share our thoughts, feelings and experiences without having to feel the need to censor ourselves because someone knows who we are. To be able to be truly honest about what we have gone through.. a REAL look into our lives. No flowering up our thoughts or feelings, not having the need to be “politically correct”.. just real and honest.

Baseball AND Fireworks!

Mr. Discreet scored some great baseball tickets for his birthday last month for this Friday.

He hasn’t been able to go to a game this season, and is very excited about it. Mr. Discreet said that asking Kate and Charlie would be a great idea to go with us, and so I did.

Kate and Charlie happily accepted our invitation!! Woohoo! So, we have a date with them tomorrow night.. or shall I say, I have a date with Kate. ;-)

Friday night games, when the weather is permitting, they have fireworks. Which is actually kind of funny, odd and neat all at the same time, considering the last time we were with them. Hmm.. Shall fireworks go off in more way than one this time as well??

Well, from the talks and the looks of things.. I think it just might!

Kate and I have been talking everyday since we last saw each other, and are getting to know each other more and more. I had introduced her to the term, Polyamory and like me, she is completely agreeable with it and loves the new addition to her vocabulary, or what she calls, “Her new wonderful word”. Like me, she has been searching for a steady girlfriend, and not just a one night stand type of thing. Now don’t get me wrong, one night stands can be fun, but I’ve always loved having something more substantial.

We have both tried and failed with past relationships with women, but are more than excited to give it a go again. So, I’m so very excited to see where this all leads.

I’ll be sure to clue you all in on the weekends’ details, as I believe that we will be going out with them on Saturday too! This poses to be a wonderful weekend!!!

Fireworks! – In more ways than just one!

fireworksI hope you all had a safe and happy 4th of July!

We didn’t have the celebration that we were originally planning, but had a great time none the less!

There are quite a few birthdays in Mr. Discreet’s family in a 3 week time period, so his mother chose to celebrate all of them yesterday at The House of Blues. I had never been, so I was a bit excited to go and listen to some great music for a Sunday brunch.  That is, until I realized who would actually be performing.

I figured The House of Blues featured different blues bands… boy was I wrong! LMAO! Come to find out, that it was an all woman gospel group! HAHA!

Somehow I do not immediately think of gospel music when I think of blues,  but I guess my thinking is wrong. If we ever go back, I will be sure to check the lineup before attending!!

After the ‘church service’ was over we came back home to get things together and headed over to Kate and Charlie’s house.

The weather actually ended up being great and all the kids spent most of the afternoon in the pool.

Kate and myself sat  by the pool witha few cool drinks watching the kids and talked about everything under the sun; including how we got into the lifestyle and what we are looking for. We found out that we have even more in common, which was wonderful! We are both looking for the exact same things!!! Woohoo!!!
